Better Broadband Scheme

The Northern Ireland Better Broadband Scheme is a national scheme, run in partnership with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and aimed at properties with broadband connections of less than 2MB/s speeds.

The Government announced that it would introduce a scheme to fulfil this commitment where residents and businesses which have speeds below 2MB/s will be able to apply for support for a broadband connection. This is alongside the Government’s target of improving superfast broadband coverage across Northern Ireland, (speeds of more than 24Mbps) by December 2017.

To qualify, you must be in a premises that is unable to receive a connection with speeds lower than 2MB/s.
