The Northern Ireland Better Broadband Scheme is a national scheme, run in partnership with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and aimed at properties with broadband connections of less than 2MB/s speeds.
The Government announced that it would introduce a scheme to fulfil this commitment where residents and businesses which have speeds below 2MB/s will be able to apply for support for a broadband connection. This is alongside the Government’s target of improving superfast broadband coverage across Northern Ireland, (speeds of more than 24Mbps) by December 2018.
To qualify, you must be in a premises that is unable to receive a connection with speeds lower than 2MB/s.

Under the scheme, a subsidy is now available with Net1 Broadband. Qualifying applicants will receive their connections at a reduced rate. This rate is £24.99 per month with an installation price of £100 (£79 for existing customers) for our Ultra Fibrespeed service or Super 20 service where Ultra is not available.
